Diamatec technology in Ipalyss® suite Unique blend of ingredients with finely ground material blends of alumina (Aluminum Oxide, Al2O3 - it has the same sintered crystal body as sapphire and ruby) and refined clays (chamotte - prevents cracking and adds structural strength) in combination with sodium & potassium to create a robust body matrix that is able to support the beautiful design features of this product range. To ensure Ipalyss® vessels can resist heavy usage over a long period of time we worked with Lucideon, the independent material testing institute. As you can see on the movie, some samples of our Diamatec material could not be broken by the maximum impact energy that could be delivered by the test machine, while all of the samples of competitors’ material were broken within the machine’s operating range.

Diamatec also performed well in an edge chipping test, where a metal ball was swung into the product. These results illustrate the robustness of Diamatec that enables us to achieve the holy grail of ceramics: extremely strong, thin, straight edges.
