Our journey to a more sustainable future

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

Reusing waste material from our own production processes has clear benefits for the environment and is an important part of our zero waste to landfill initiative. We are already recycling 100% of our brass waste and all our acrylic waste. We recycle around 70% of our ceramic waste and are working with ceramic partners to unlock new technical solutions so that 100% of ceramic waste can be utilised within the industry.

To ensure our packaging is as sustainable as possible we have set ourselves the goal to remove all single-use plastics by 2025. To achieve this we are removing all unnecessary packaging from our products, use recycled materials wherever possible and ensure our virgin cardboard is Chain of Custody-certified whenever we cannot use recycled alternatives.

WORKING TOWARDS NET-ZERO

ETHICAL MANUFACTURING

Achieving carbon neutrality across our business is no easy feat, but it’s essential for creating a better tomorrow. Over the last years we have been investing in state-of the-art technology that either helps us to save energy or to recover it. We are switching to renewable electricity in many of our production facilities to reduce our carbon footprint and even installed a new solar campus at our German plant to generate green energy ourselves.

All products our customers are buying have been produced under safe and healthy working conditions and in environments that promote diversity and inclusion. We are also very strict about who we work with and ensure all our suppliers comply with our Code of Conduct and follow a holistic sustainability path.

TRANSPARENCY AT EVERY LEVEL

PROTECTING NATURAL RESOURCES

We want to be transparent about our operations and products, so customers can make the choices that are right for them. That is why we have published independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), covering more than 4.500 individual products. That is also why we joined the United Nations Global Compact, thereby committing to submit an annual Communication on Progress, as well as releasing a public sustainability report.

Conserving natural resources is vital to protect our planet and meet our sustainability goals. That’s why we have replaced all virgin timber in our bathtubs with Bagasse, a by-product of the sugar production process. We also ensure that all our furniture is made from wood that is sustainably sourced and comes from well-managed, Chain of Custody certified forests. We continue to develop products that save water while offering maximum comfort.
