With standard taps most people turn on the water in the mid-lever position, resulting in a mix of hot and cold water. But very often warm water isn’t needed at all. Cold water is usually sufficient for washing hands, brushing teeth or cleaning. BlueStart® technology avoids this unnecessary warm water use, reduces energy consumption, lowers CO2 emissions and saves money.

BlueStart ® iX

BlueStart ® iX is the technology behind our leading edge iX tap ranges, which offer a smart two-in-one solution, by combining the energy saving benefits of our BlueStart® technology with the hygiene and water-saving features of a touchless tap. BlueStart ® iX offers significant energy savings as only cold water flows when the touchless function is used which is usually sufficient for brushing teeth, washing hands or cleaning. Additionally, it helps save water as the flow stops automatically as soon as the user removes their hands from the sensor detection area. This also reduces the need for cleaning and avoids the spread of germs by touching the tap with dirty hands. The BlueStart ® iX technology is available in a variety of different designs, colours and sizes, offering a flexible, practical and environmentally friendly solution for modern bathrooms.
