BRASS COATINGS

In order to achieve the shiny surface the company uses the proven method of electroplating. Thanks to the modern equipment the European standard EN 248 is fully met. All visible plastic details are electroplated after being previously copper plated which assures the surface durability and its aesthetic look. Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is a method for producing metal-based hard coatings by means of generation of partially ionized metal vapor, its reaction with certain gases and by forming a thin film with a specified composition. The typical process temperature for PVD coatings is between 250 and 450 °C. PVD finishes can be found in cutting and forming tools, mechanical components, medical devices and products that benefit from the highly resistant and decorative features of the coatings. They are being used extensively for decorative purposes in numerous applications where superior adhesion, wear and scratch resistance are important to ensure a perfect look for an extended period of time and intense use. HIDDEN AERATOR

The hidden flow aerator in selected Ideal Standard mixers has a flow tip without visible slot. It is as reliable as a normal flow filter and, at the same time, it is safe against stealing. The replacement key is included in the product’s package.

BLUESTART ® TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to our BlueStart ® technology, when the tap is opened in the centre position, cold water flows and hot water has to be actively selected rather than delivered by default. BlueStart ® makes energy savings of up to 50% possible. This feature helps you save water, energy and therefore money by only delivering cold water, when the tap handle is in the middle position.

PVD TECHNOLOGY

In our coloured models, we use the latest technology - Physical Vapour Deposition to preserve the vibrancy of our coloured models. PVD is a thin protective coating applied in a vacuum, which makes our products ten times more resistant to chemicals, wear, impact, discolouration and corrosion.
